BLOOM

To Bloom is to enter into a season of remembrance that slowly calls us forth to action; looking with precision and dancing with devotion towards the horizon after Winter. During the dark nights, we can honor our gifts, and make offerings of the contents in our heart, pouring into the collective soil of belonging which warms our bones and melts the illusion of isolation.

The Tarot card of the Sun reminds us that the spirit of remembrance manifests as emergence when we become willing to be seen, to bear fruit, to make visible what has been hidden; reweaving ourselves into the lineage of these earthen and astrological ancestors:

Like glass gem corn dried in summer with dreams of revival in its seeded skin; Or blossoms of calendula, strung yellow, cracked with sun, answering a winter’s prayer to once again know a season of flowering...

Our bodies too become ripe with a promise of giving. Our spirits also find ways to create: out of ritual, revival, and resistance.

These acts, of birth and blooming, are both an offering and an artifact: Evidence that we belonged to something. And it belonged to us.

They are evidence of how seeds that have been lost, stolen, forgotten, or misplaced will find their way back to our soil. Will be retrieved from silence or exile, and feed us memories of sun that we may survive the winter of our own becoming.
